"This year brought to life something I could not even begin to comprehend like I do now, like a good neighbor State Farm is there. I landed here after losing everything in the January CA Eaton Canyon fire. Home, routine for my autistic son, all our belongings and lived in hotels, and airbnbs for weeks until my best friend urged me to come here, after weeks of bouncing around no autism support for my son. Just us two, drained and depleted living a surreal life. I passed Sunny Shields office and recognized her as she’s friends with a middle school friend of mine but I had never met her. Little did I know how instrumental she would be in this massive life on life terms change. As she went on to provide me with quotes, my sister would finally loose her battle to cancer. So we would head to Monterrey to be with her. To say I was depleted is an understatement. Cognitively temporary impaired unable to make sense of much. She is kind and did everything so quickly! It was me that just simple kept trying to put one foot in front of another and before I knew the day before my insurance was set to expire from CA, she quickly pushed through what she had given me a month or two prior. I noticed the need for change last minute and she made it happen so effortlessly and fast! So yes, this is the year I needed a neighbor, to push through things for me that quite frankly seem so frivolous as I lost so much, yet in the world as necessary. She had my back and the some! I have stopped in twice to her office and I can tell you her employees follow her lead. May you never find yourself in a natural disaster, regardless of what life brings, she has you! Grateful beyond measure!"
